Razer Blade 2016 is a refreshed version of its maker's portable Blade gaming laptop. The new ultra-slim machine is lighter and features upgraded components, including a robust 6th-generation Intel Core processor and abundant RAM.

The Design

The original Razer Blade was a stunner with its svelte appearance. Its sequel preserves that with a thickness of just about 0.7 inches. The Blade 2016 has also lost about 0.15 pounds in weight, coming in at 4.25 pounds.

The overall design is largely unchanged with this laptop as it also sports a durable CNC-machined aluminium body. Who says gaming machines have to be thick and ugly? This is one stylish, slim and light gaming laptop.

The 14-incher sports an awesome touch display with a resolution of 3,200 x 1,800 pixels to make colours in games come alive. It is equipped with a backlit Chroma keyboard whose keys can be customised with millions of colours and patterns. This keyboard is similar to that of the Razer Stealth.

The Performance

Forget its ultra-slim and portable design; the Razer Blade 2016 packs enough power to let you enjoy playing modern games. At the centre of the show is a sixth-generation Intel Core i7 CPU, which is backed by abundant DDR4 RAM with a 16GB capacity.

This is a beast! Robust NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M discrete graphics card with very generous 6 GB of video RAM is onboard to enable you enjoy some modern game titles. Performance is further enhanced with the use of speedy solid state drives, with capacity of up to 512 GB, for storage.

Other Features

The Razer Blade 2016 offers an impressive array of ports and interfaces. It comes with three ultra-fast USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port and a USB Type-C Thunderbolt 3 port.

The gaming machine can be used with the Core graphics amplifier that came with the Stealth laptop. The amplifier, which is connected to using the Thunderbolt 3 port, lets you use desktop-grade graphics cards on the Blade 2016 for more robust gaming.

Pricing and Availability

Razer Blade 2016 is not yet available in Nigeria. When available, you can buy it at leading online stores in the country. Razer Blade 2016 Price in Nigeria is expected to range from N280,000 to N450,000 depending on your location in Nigeria.
