ZTE Axon Max is a recent addition to its Chinese maker's Axon series of reasonably-priced smartphones with high-end specifications. The behemoth flaunts a very solid, premium design and offers a Full HD display, very powerful cameras, a colossal battery and an octa-core processor, amongst other impressive features.

Design

There is no need for a soothsayer to tell that ZTE desires the Axon Max to rival some heavyweights on the market, especially the plus-size ones, on design. This huge smartphone is built using rugged aviation-grade – to be specific, Boeing 787 aircraft-grade – aluminium-titanium alloy.

In simple language, this device is designed to easily withstand drops and knocks. It flaunts a pleasantly svelte profile at just 7.5mm thick and has stitched leatherette bands at both ends. It comes in an elegant gold finish.

Display and Camera

The ZTE Axon Max squeezes in a massive 6-inch AMOLED display having a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. With a pixel density of about 367 ppi, this touchscreen makes for a great one for watching movies on with friends.

You will be impressed by what is offered in the camera department as well. There is a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with an f/1.9 aperture, phase detection autofocus, and LED flash. This is paired with an amazing 13-megapixel front-facing shooter with an f/2.2 aperture size for awesome wide-angle selfies.

Hardware and Software

Superb performance should be expected of the ZTE Axon Max as it comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor. This powerful CPU is given an extra hand by ample 3 GB of RAM to get things moving along smoothly.

Integrated storage has a capacity of 32 GB and it is expandable by additional 128 GB using a microSD card. The Axon Max runs on its maker's own MiFavor 3.5 user interface, based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Other Features

A key selling point of this phablet is the massive 4,140mAh battery it is equipped with. This colossus should get things running for many hours. It supports Quick Charge 2.0 technology for boosting from flat to 60 percent in only 30 minutes.

The ZTE Axon Max is a dual-SIM device and supports 4G LTE connectivity. It offers extra layer of security with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

ZTE Axon Max is not yet available in Nigeria. When available, you can buy it at leading online stores in the country. ZTE Axon Max Price in Nigeria is expected to range from N91,000 to N150,000 depending on your location in Nigeria.
