LG Nexus 5X Specs

Announced September 29, the Nexus 5X is the result of latest collaboration between Google and Korean tech giant LG, following the success of previous partnership for the Nexus 5 released back in 2013. The new smartphone, which was unveiled alongside the Huawei Nexus 6P, shows off somewhat similar design as its LG predecessor and packs a Full HD display, robust cameras, powerful six-core processor and latest Android Marshmallow OS.




Design and Display

Many people who were drawn in by the easy-to-handle LG Nexus 5 were not so impressed with the humongous size of the Motorola Nexus 6 released in 2014. Such people will surely be excited about the new LG Nexus 5X which is designed to fit perfectly well into the hand of virtually any mature person.

The phone has a plastic body with nice curves - not just a rectangular slab. It flaunts a chic svelte profile at only 7.9mm thick.

LG Nexus 5X sports a 5.2-inch IPS touch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels for highly enjoyable viewing experience. The screen features scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and smudge-resistant oleophobic coating.

Camera and Storage

The smartphone packs an impressive 12.3-megapixel main camera with massive 1.55-micron pixels, dual flash and super-fast laser autofocus. The shooter can be used to record stunning 4K videos.

There is also a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calls. LG Nexus 5X comes with onboard storage of either 16 GB or 32 GB. Sadly, you will not be able to add more storage space with a memory card.

Performance and Other Features

A hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor - same one used for the highly-rated flagship LG G4 - does the heavy lifting on the Nexus 5X. The 64-bit chip, clocked at 1.8 GHz, is assisted by 2GB RAM and an Adreno 418 GPU.

LG Nexus 5X runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow offering you some exciting features and capabilities that were not available on earlier versions of the Google operating system.

The main highlight of LG Nexus 5X is probably the rear fingerprint sensor called Nexus Imprint, which offers you extra layer of security for sensitive information. The phone features a microUSB Type-C port and a 2700mAh battery.



Pricing and availability

LG Nexus 5X is not yet available in Nigeria. When available, you can buy at leading online stores in the country as well as LG phone stores. LG Nexus 5X Price in Nigeria is expected to range from N75,500 to N110,000, depending on your location.
